{"id":854,"date":"2013-12-21T16:57:24","date_gmt":"2013-12-21T20:57:24","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.logikalsolutions.com\/wordpress\/?p=854"},"modified":"2013-12-21T16:57:24","modified_gmt":"2013-12-21T20:57:24","slug":"did-ford-fire-microsoft","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.logikalsolutions.com\/wordpress\/information-technology\/did-ford-fire-microsoft\/","title":{"rendered":"Did Ford Fire Microsoft?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There is a rather persistent rumor going around that Ford has fired Microsoft, or at least ended the use of their software in automobiles.\u00a0 Of course if Ford wants to really get on the fast track they will end the use of Microsoft software on the desktop and every other part of the company.\u00a0 Does anyone know if this is true?<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">It won&#8217;t be long and I will be in the new car market, probably before the end of 2014.\u00a0 I would like to make my next car to be made in Illinois if possible.\u00a0 There is simply no way I&#8217;m going to plunk down $30K+ for something which needs a virus scanner though.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I have always wondered where Ford put the ALT-CTRL-DEL buttons on the dash.\u00a0 Of course we know the old (quite true) story about <a href=\"http:\/\/sunburst.usd.edu\/~bwjames\/humor\/ms\/microsoftcars.html\">Microsoft actually making cars<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">I guess Ford and Microsoft really weren&#8217;t N-Sync.\u00a0 Wasn&#8217;t that a boy band anyway?\u00a0 Perhaps Ford has finally grown up?<\/p>\n<p>At any rate, once they fully purge Microsoft products from their vehicles they can once again be on the list of vehicles I might purchase.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is a rather persistent rumor going around that Ford has fired Microsoft, or at least ended the use of their software in automobiles.\u00a0 Of course if Ford wants to really get on the fast track they will end the use of Microsoft software on the desktop and every other part of the company.\u00a0 Does anyone know if this is true?
