The D.O.G.E. Team should not be allowed near a keyboard even to check email or apply for a job. What a steaming kettle of excrement this incompetence squared outfit is. Their latest F-UP (that I’m aware of) has to do with migrating FMCSA<\/a> (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) website to a new “portal” connected to Login.gov.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For real IT professionals, once that actually went to college to learn the process and who won’t allow Agile anywhere near a project that actually matters, this would have been a cake walk. Yeah, a lot of work, but we know how to properly develop software and most importantly we know how to properly run a project!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Keep in mind this is after D.O.G.E. Team switched the IRS to the catastrophe that is ID.me<\/a>. Neither the IRS nor the Federal Government own<\/em> any of that data. It uses Cloudflare<\/a> and Cloudflare has a long history go going down<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Yes, note the date in bold. That’s the actual letter which was sent out. Guess what? On the 14th the site was down. Today is the morning of the 18th and it is still<\/em> not functional. Real IT professionals don’t send a letter out, especially in the era of email until the site is up and functional<\/em>. That is how professional software development works. The incompetent D.O.G.E. Team cannot bother with proper project management or professionalism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Who the (*&)(*& puts a QR scan code (second most insecure thing ever invented this side of an iMbecile phone) in a website where desktop browser, keyboard, and mouse will be in use. This is for trucking companies<\/em>. They aren’t trying to run their business from an iMbecile phone because, with all of the stuff we have to fill out, the iMbecile phones time out. With all of the typing you have to do to file the required registration paperwork every so often, the little glass tappy-tappy with the thumbs can’t possibly get it done.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Most of you don’t own\/run a trucking company. Consider trying to file a full length (not EZ) form 1040 with Schedule A (itemized deductions) and Schedule C (business income) and a depreciation schedule (I forget that form number) all with the tiny screen and thumb tappy-tappy of an iMbecile phone. Everybody has to file taxes so unless you’re dumping a box of receipts off at an accountant’s office and saying “Here, you figure it out” y’all know what a bitch tax filing would be.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Again, proper IT project management has the site going live then<\/em> the technical writer creates a PDF and at least two other people not involved in the development walk through the PDF, making certain the steps actually work, before<\/em> you publish it. This is a brand new site<\/strong>. There is absolutely no reason to phi-slamma-jamma the project. Nobody knows the site exists. You have the time to do it right, but, you would have to be a professional to understand that.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

There was absolutely no reason to F-this-Up in such a biblical fashion. The existing site had worked for years. Companies had adapted to printing out PDF files, filing them out, scanning, and uploading. Been doing it for years. I’ve had a Login.gov account for years. Had to get one to do things with the IRS, then D.O.G.E. Team brought in the ID.me debacle for the IRS. My point is Login.gov linking to other government entities is a known process<\/em>. There should be ample documentation for this. You just have to actually read the documentation instead of Agile hacking on the fly<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Three years later he wrote his first novel \"Infinite Exposure\" which got much notice from people involved in the banking and financial security worlds. Some of the attacks predicted in that book have since come to pass.
