That and the fact that the FBI hasn\u2019t bother putting anyone in prison for violating the DOL prevailing wage law which went into effect with the H1-B reforms. You know, the laws that made it a federal crime to pay an H1-B less than the DOL prevailing wage and made it an even bigger federal crime to hire an H1-B when there was a higher priced U.S. citizen available to do the job.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">This post caught my eye today. Usually you don\u2019t see such criminal activity advertised so blatantly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">http:\/\/programmingcareers.com\/JobSeeker\/Technical_Writer_WJ493473.aspx?utm_source=Indeed&#038;utm_medium=organic&#038;utm_campaign=Indeed<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">$31K for someone with multiple years of SDLC documentation and the ability to communicate with developers. Well below the starting salary of any other state and well below the prevailing wage for Florida for that gig. Now, here comes the Senior Abuse.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">http:\/\/www.socialsecuritybenefitshandbook.com\/page12.html<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\">http:\/\/www.socialsecuritybenefitshandbook.com\/page19.html#App_7<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">It appears whoever reached up their rectal sphincter and pulled out the dollar amount was using a 2004 Social Security Benefits guide. Yes, they want them to continue working a full year for just under the threshold which will cause them to lose Social Security benefits. Never mind that, prior to retirement the senior in question was making 3-4 times this amount <strong>AND<\/strong> they got benefits.<\/p>\n<p class=\"western\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">Why aren\u2019t all of those Senior\u2019s Rights organizations descending upon these predatory companies in Florida? If a senior chooses to work, they should be paid prevailing wage. For this type of contract that would be $60\/hr on 1099 or roughly $50\/hr on W-2 WITH FULL BENEFITS.
