Le Frexit

Marine Le Pen image

In a few short days the French will cast their ballots to put Marine Le Pen in office. Yes, there are a good many people who wish to believe the investment banker running against her has a shot, they even have polling data to back it up. Just remember how well that “scientific” process worked in America’s 2016 Presidential election. Those same “scientific” methods predicted a landslide victory for Hillary Clinton with pretty much the same group of people wishing to believe the outcome would match the polls.

Globalization has been the prettied up name for class warfare. One Percenters and elitists believe they have a divine right to rule. They yearn for the days of Feudal lords to which no laws applied and the unwashed masses they could treat as they wish. Indeed, we are seeing that very behavior right now and have been for some time. Just how many days in prison did Jamie Dimon and John Stumpf serve for their roles in the mortgage fraud scandal and other financial crimes their companies were found guilty of?

These situations aren’t unique to America. Just look at the French unemployment rate for under 25 year olds. Nearly 24%. The One Percenters are Hell bent on breaking the spirit of the peasants by ensuring they will be born into poverty and hopelessness. It has many, if not all, of the Marie Antoinette “Let them eat cake” era. France, of all countries, should know just how well that worked out. I mean Bastille Day is an annual event on the 14th of July. Have so many French, like the One Percenters in America forgotten the holiday? In America we do not celebrate the 4th of July, we celebrate Independence Day on the 4th of July.

No, the media, owned mostly by the One Percenters, will continue to spout the fallacy of a landslide victory of an investment banker completely ignoring the cries of the oppressed. They will continue to spout how class warfare (globalization) is good for everyone when in reality it is good only for the One Percenters.

Some time ago when I published “Lesedi – The Greatest Lie Ever Told” I stated in that book the greatest lie ever told was that a corporation answered only to its shareholders. A corporation is required to help provide for the nation which allowed it hearth and home. To help keep its citizens employed so the nation remains strong. It is not a “take all of the money for the One Percenters and to Hell with the rest” operation, or at least it is not supposed to be. Bribery and corruption have put governments up for sale to the highest bidder and they give nary a thought to the peasants within their borders when making decisions.

The European Union was doomed to fail before it began. No central government can survive when it allows strong states. Just look at the debacle in America where we can’t even ship gasoline from one part of the country to another because most every state has its own regulations about what can and cannot be in gasoline, not to mention many states have their own emissions standards. Legally you cannot buy a car in one state then take a job in another state with different emissions standards unless you have it modified to meet that state’s emissions standards. This is why when a refinery shuts down in one part of the country you see massive price spikes in that region even though other regions may well have a glut of gasoline. This is only one of thousands of examples when it comes to states rights idiocy.

So it goes in the European Union. No state was willing to give up its rights or identity so the first time real hardship hit it was doomed. The British learned this and the French are about to figure it out. No state was willing to pay the price required to overthrow the Syrian government and occupy the country for 100 years so those states now face a much higher price in the form of refugees and deals with unsavory rulers trying to keep the tidal wave of refugees out.

Round two of the French election will show just how much the oppressed rebel against the class warfare named globalization. It will see a President elected which takes France out of the EU.

Le Frexit will happen.

Roland Hughes started his IT career in the early 1980s. He quickly became a consultant and president of Logikal Solutions, a software consulting firm specializing in OpenVMS application and C++/Qt touchscreen/embedded Linux development. Early in his career he became involved in what is now called cross platform development. Given the dearth of useful books on the subject he ventured into the world of professional author in 1995 writing the first of the "Zinc It!" book series for John Gordon Burke Publisher, Inc.

A decade later he released a massive (nearly 800 pages) tome "The Minimum You Need to Know to Be an OpenVMS Application Developer" which tried to encapsulate the essential skills gained over what was nearly a 20 year career at that point. From there "The Minimum You Need to Know" book series was born.

Three years later he wrote his first novel "Infinite Exposure" which got much notice from people involved in the banking and financial security worlds. Some of the attacks predicted in that book have since come to pass. While it was not originally intended to be a trilogy, it became the first book of "The Earth That Was" trilogy:
Infinite Exposure
Lesedi - The Greatest Lie Ever Told
John Smith - Last Known Survivor of the Microsoft Wars

When he is not consulting Roland Hughes posts about technology and sometimes politics on his blog. He also has regularly scheduled Sunday posts appearing on the Interesting Authors blog.
